Mister Fudgy

A rich chocolate brownie. 

Truly fudgy.

& a pretty easy bake, too. 



Line an 8x8-inch baking pan

Mix the butter + sugar + cocoa + salt in a microwaveable bowl

Stir in vanilla essence, eggs & mix till glossy.

Pour in the flour.

Pour batter into the lined baking tin.

Sprinkles to pretty it up & bake on the lowest rack. 


Makes 16 fudgies

Ingredients
  • Margarine (salt-reduced), 120g
  • Sugar, 290g
  • Cocoa, 75g
  • Salt, pinch 
  • Vanilla essence, 5ml
  • Eggs, 2
  • Plain flour, 70g

Methods

1. Preheat oven to 160ºC.
2. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan.
3. Mix butter, sugar, cocoa & salt in a big microwaveable bowl.
4. Microwave for 1 minute on high (1000watts) and stir.
5. Microwave for another 1 minute and stir until butter has melted - mixture would look gritty.
6. Allow to cool slightly before adding the vanilla and stir.
7. Add in the eggs (one @ a time) and beat vigorously after each addition - batter would look shiny
8. Stir in the four until well-blended and beat the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds.
9. Pour batter into baking tin and decorate the top (if you would like).
10. Bake on the lowest rack for 25 minutes.
11. Remove and bake on the middle rack for 10 minutes.
12. Allow to cool completely before slicing into 16 squares.
13. Eat up !!

How was it?
Gooey. Fudgy. Yummy. especially after it's popped into the toaster for 3 minutes. 
A little too sweet for me & some others as well. 

Better it up! 
- may reduce the sugar to 3/4 cup
