aye i've been gone,
for a little too long!
caught up with life's phenomenon..
time to colour this page again with my baking crayon!
this Christmas, I baked some giant cookies for my colleagues and decorated them with eggless royal icing --
santa looks so adorable! |
Royal icing are usually made with raw egg whites, something I've not been a fan of, for food safety reasons. Have been trying to look for an eggless royal icing recipe, here it is:
Makes ~ 1 cup
Ingredients
1 cup icing sugar
1 and 1/2 tsp corn starch
1 tsp lemon juice
3-4 tsp milk
Methods
1. Sift the icing sugar and corn starch, divide into 2 bowls.
2. In 1 bowl, add lemon juice and milk, beating well.
3. Scrap down the sides and add in the remaining icing sugar, beating well.
if the icing is too hard, add 1 teaspoon of milk.
